2024/08/27. 12:00. Riet Spruit at R563. Dark greyish colour with black clumps and strong rotten smell even though there is a strong breeze . Can see the “slime” growth on the river bank.
Bergland. 2024/08/27 10:10 Water has a dark greyish black discolouration. Quite a nauseating smell present close to the river. Some foam and gassing and some floating black clumps. The low water bridge is a work in progress.
2024/08/27. 09:45. Blougat Spruit close to Robert Broom. Slightly discoloured, lots of stringy algae growth. Small amount of foam. No smell. There has been some repair work done to the bridge as well as a general cleanup of the sides of the road.
