2023/09/19  10:30  During the past few months the Save The Cradle Rivers Group has been quite busy with various interventions.  One of the interventions that has been successfully completed is the Delportan sewage truck dump site.

A decent thick reinforced concrete slab with retaining wall at the back has been thrown and two sliding gates installed.

The above photos show what has been done, and how it works.

There are also two security personnel at the site who are checking permits and recording details of trucks coming to unload.

Hopefully in the near future there will be Mogale personnel on site to take random samples from the trucks to ensure that the waste is within parameters to be able to be handled by the Percy Stewart WWTWs.

This should stop all sewage waste from activities here from flowing down the side of the ravine and into the Blougat Spruit.
